Faces Modeling Troupe Inc. is the largest, most dynamic modeling troupe on the east coast of the United States with 11,000+ followers across all chapters and social media platforms. The organization’s mission is to take modeling to a higher level through photography, innovative fashion, unique mechanics, and community service. The Gainesville chapter of Faces is one of 7 chapters across the state of Florida promoting this mission. As the PR Director for Gainesville Faces, I developed my social media account management, branding, graphic design, and video editing skills while having full responsibility for ideating, creating, and posting social media content for the brand’s Instagram page. Keep scrolling to learn more about some of the work I’ve done for Faces!

Refreshing the Look and Feel of Gainesville Faces Social Media Presence

Brand Style Guide, Logo Redesign, New Verbiage & Brand Pillar Posts
Stepping into my position as PR Director, I wanted to revive and relaunch the brand with a fresh, more aesthetically pleasing look and feel that better translated the brand’s identity. I redesigned the logo, created a brand style guide, rewrote the brand’s social media bio, created highlights, and released posts sharing the brand’s three main anchors. Look through the gallery above for more information about the rebrand and relaunch!

There needed to be a cohesive look and feel for the social media branding and content for the Gainesville Faces, so I created a style guide to provide more precise direction. I kept the colors consistent with the brand’s current color scheme. However, I utilized a serif font rather than a sans serif font to work in line better with the brand's very professional, clean-cut, and sophisticated nature.

The previous logo for the brand’s profile picture was pixelated and outdated, so I redesigned it to give it a fresh new look. I chose to add a graphic element to the logo design to add a unique flair. I wanted Gainesville Faces to stand out from other chapters with this differentiated look. This new design garnered much more attention among other chapters and is still being utilized today.

To officially kick off the revival/relaunch, I posted a logo reveal and shared posts highlighting the organization's three key anchors. These posts worked to help followers better understand the Faces brand and its main values. They can be more closely examined in the gallery below.

Alongside a lack of visual cohesion, I also noticed a considerable lack of personality in the brand’s content. Moving forward, I wanted Gainesville Faces to feel more personable. I created diverse content that better explained the brand, what it stood for, and the family behind it in more fun, interactive, and aesthetically pleasing ways. The three main categories of content I shared were brand, community, and family. Brand-related content focused on the brand’s unique fashion and modeling style. Community-related content focused on service and our member's dedication to remaining model citizens. Family-related content focused on sharing the faces behind Faces and amplifying the personable community of diverse students in the brand.
